What is international Solar alliance?

by Aromal Karuvath on

Hey new physicist here, few days ago the heads of around 40 countries landed in India for the first official summit of the international solar alliance or ISA. ISA is a non profit treaty based group of 121 countries to promote the use of solar power.

I’m sharing this news because the idea behind ISA perfectly resonates with the agenda of my channel. Replace fossil fuels with 100% solar power to build an energy and environment secure planet. So far I’ve created a lots of renewable energy projects like wind turbines, solar water heaters, solar concentrators to boost people’s interest in solar power technology.

The new international solar alliance is a real game changer and gives me tremendous amount of energy to go ahead with my passion and mission. I’m taking this chance to congratulate our great pm Narendra modi ji for initiating the solar power revolution, and I’m feeling very proud about India.
“The Vedas consider the sun as the soul of the world, it has been considered as a life nurturer,” Modi said at the founding conference of the International Solar Alliance. “Today, for combating climate change, we need to look at this ancient idea to find a way.”

Few days ago The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) has signed an agreement to work together with the International Solar Alliance (ISA). The joint declaration was signed on the first day of the Sustainable Energy Forum for East Africa taking place in Kigali, Rwanda from 19-21 March. The Forum has brought together key players within the sustainable energy sector to discuss challenges and opportunities for the sector within the wider East African Community.
